BUYING AND MERCHANDISING (2014) 

 

As part of the first year of my degree, I completed the 'Buying and Merchandising' module by creating a Denim Collection Range Plan for George at ASDA teen range, G21. Trend research was completed to understand the trends of Autumn Winter 2015/16 in advance giving enough time for design and manufacturing lead times. It was important to understand key silhouettes and details which would be on trend so I looked to innovators and trend forecasting companies to provide insight on what the customer wanted to wear and who they inspired to look like.

All the research helped inform a final Range Plan which showed each piece in the collection, key colours, expected best sellers as well as each garments unit quantity, size ratio and price.
